The city Samara
My work is connected with a long businuss trip.
Now I live near Samara in small city Kinel (I will discribe it later).
For a start, I will describe Samara briefly.
Samara - a city in the Middle Volga region of Russia, the administrative center of Samara Oblast .
Population - 1,171,598 people (2013), the seventh most populous city in Russia.
Located on the left bank of the Volga opposite Samara Luka , at the confluence of the Samara river (hence the name of the city ).
Samara is major economic , transport, scientific, educational and cultural center. Main industries are machine building , oil refining and food industries.
Samara was founded by Tsar Fyodor in 1586 as a fortress town of Samara . From 1935 to 1991 the city was named Kuibyshev. In Samara, Russia 's longest promenade and the tallest building in Europe station.
The first thing I do in the business trip I investigate surroundings. So, in autumn day, I went with a colleague by the train to Samara. And the whole day we wandered around the city.
